Dmitri Jajich, an accomplished structural engineer and the Global Director of Structures at KPM, began his career at the Chicago office of SOM in 2000, later transitioning to lead the London Structural Engineering group in 2012. With a multidisciplinary foundation in art history, physics, and engineering, Dmitri’s approach to problem-solving blends technical precision with creative insight. Over his distinguished 23-year career, he has worked on a wide range of projects, from the iconic Burj Khalifa to bespoke single-storey residences, earning over a dozen structural engineering awards. Dmitri is known for his seamless integration of structural and architectural design, collaborating closely with architects and artists to deliver projects celebrated for their clarity of expression and meticulous detailing. His portfolio includes internationally significant works like Manhattan Loft Gardens and Denver Union Station, where he pushed the boundaries of structural innovation through advanced analytical techniques.

Dmitri’s designs prioritize ambition, simplicity, and buildability, a testament to his ability to balance engineering complexity with practical execution. Recognized as a Fellow (FIStructE) of the Institution of Structural Engineers, he also holds professional memberships as MIStructE (UK), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Licensed Structural Engineer (SE), and Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the USA. Additionally, Dmitri is accredited as a European Engineer (EUR ING) and a LEED Green Associate, reflecting his commitment to sustainability and global engineering standards.
